I would prefer that Nightmare kept zombie HP the same as normal or hard, but gave the specials new abilities instead, to force you to combat them in different ways.Īlso maybe chill on the gun wielding enemies, on all difficulties. The zombies are just too slow to react to any of your movements, even the virals. Sure, I can play the whole game on nightmare and avoid all the zombies, but that's not really a challenge no matter how hard you make it. ![]() It makes the game incredibly frustrating. But I really don't like how tanky the common zombies are. With some legendary firearm dmg improvements, I can now kill a non-black volatile with maybe 4 headshots I agree that weapon stamina should not be infinite, and I prefer health regen to instant health back on heal. Hint: try using Volkatronix dlc rifle on volatiles, you will make them dance with that electrocute attack your bullets have, that way you can aim your rifle always for their head. With some legendary firearm dmg improvements, I can now kill a non-black volatile with maybe 4 headshots Black volatiles might be doing a bit too much dmg but you are supposed to use resistance potions against them anywayĭo you get anything special for killing volatiles? You get more money from selling weapons, so whatever you loot, might be an upgrade for your weapon, but they drop rarely from them so no, no real point It kinda stops making sense so yeah, nightmare is by all means a more than fair and most sensible difficulty. It feels kinda stupid investing in "handling" attribute of a weapon when you already don't drain any stamina. Also, lvl 24 combat/survivor difficulty does NOT give you infinite stamina like it does on normal so that's more fair. I think nightmare is the most fair because moves drain your stamina much quicker than on easier difficulties making it harder for you to spam stuff like neckbreak, stomp, ram and others. Maybe it's my elitism speaking to me, since I've put in an abnormal number of hours into this game (not just on this acc).
